I would like to thank Jeff for is suggestion and prompt reply with
    my questions.
i will be running a 3.55 in my 68 Camaro and ordered a wide ratio
M22 10/27 spline for a good gearbox diff ratio balance and mostly for the gear whine specific to the M22 gearset.
Jeff called me up on a Sunday just before indy 500 started after i requested some info, that pleasantly surprised me and we joked about it. That’s what you call customer comittement.
    Delivery was as planned.
I have yet to install and use the tranny which will come later next year since my build is still in progress, but i was confident to get
a quality product from Midwest Muncie.
    Thank you Jeff.

I’ve never ordered from midwest muncie before but i might in the future because i love 4-speeds especially the m-22 because back in 85′ i was running a t-10 in my 55′ big window with about 400hp.at the flywheel, anyway, i was leaving a friend’s house when i tried to smoke the tire’s 1st gear smoke then second BOOM the tranny blow’s in half! the case anyway, gear’s barely spilling out and i thought what the hell happened? My friend next to me with this look on his face bewilldered? says it’s a good thing where ok? And then i say, what the hell am i gonna do now? Believe me or not but the friends house down the street we had just left HAD in his front yard on the ground lying next to another broken tranny was an m-22 rockcrusher trans! We had been talking about street races we won and shooting the s*#t about what we had in our car’s engine bay’s and the next thing i know i pushed my truck to his house and asked him (HOW MUCH FOR THE TRANNY?) $50 buck’s, sold! no questions asked? He had told me before i left his house the first time, it was a good tranny! and i never had a problem with my tranmission again except for wearing of the clutcth and pressure plate!!!……True story!

    Oliver (Jeff too),
You’re going to have a BALL with that new M22w Muncie. Back when Muncie trannys were readily available at the Junk yard, I was in the group that never gave the transmission that must thought. Some guys ran clutch-turbo automatics, but they were called “Tinkerbell” behind their back. MEN ROWED GEARS. A good scattershield and driveshaft loop
(a rebuilt clutch and resurfaced pressure plate got many a guy around town or down the strip.

I hope Hurst has a beefier shifter than their Competition Plus. I ripped a CP shifter right off a 2:56 Muncie and through the floorboard of a big block 1967 Chevelle it came.

    MEN ROW GEARS
